Миналогодишният блокбъстър Bridesmaids, номиниран за две награди Оскар, и актуалният The Hunger Games, който заема четвърто място в настоящата боксофис класация на Северна Америка и инкасира повече от $600 млн. в световен мащаб за по-малко от месец, са големите фаворити за предстоящи филмови награди на MTV.
И двете ленти получиха по осем номинации, докато последният филм от касовата The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn - Part 1, ще се състезава едва за две статуетки. Едната от тях обаче е за топ наградата – Филм на годината, за която ще спорят също The Hunger Games и Bridesmaids, както и The Help и Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Звездите от The Hunger Games и Bridesmaids – Дженифър Лоурънс и Кристън Уиг, са номинирани в категорията Най-добра актриса, наред с Ема Стоун, Ема Уотсън и Рууни Мара, а екранният партньор на Лоурънс, Джош Хъчърсън, ще премери сили с Чанинг Тейтъм, Даниел Радклиф, Джоузеф Гордън-Левит и Раян Гослинг при определянето на носителя на титлата за Най-добър актьор.
Кристън Уиг и Мелиса Макарти са единствените претендентки за статуетката за Най-добър комедиен пърформанс – останалите три номинации получиха актьорите Джона Хил (21 Jump Street), Оливър Купър (Project X) и Зак Галифианакис (The Hangover Part II).
Оставайки извън надпреварата при актьорите, Кристен Стюарт и Робърт Патинсън все пак имат шанса да спечелят една обща бронзирана кофичка с пуканки от MTV, тъй като са номинирани за Най-добра целувка.
За целта феновете на Twilight ще трябва да докажат, че са повече от тези на The Hunger Games, тъй като същата номинация получиха Лоурънс и Хъчърсън. Чанинг Тейтъм с Рейчъл Макадамс, Рупърт Гринт с Ема Уотсън и Раян Гослинг с Ема Стоун са останалите претенденти в тази категория.
Феновете ще определят победителите в 12 от категориите на MTV Movie Awards 2012, които тази година са с няколко повече спрямо миналата.
